Raj Chakraborty's Directorial Parineeta To Have A Hindi Remake
The film stars Subhashree Ganguly and Ritwick Chakraborty in the lead roles. There are offers to remake Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s Mayurakshi too
Raj Chakraborty is enjoying his happy space as his last release Parineeta was a box office hit and still continues to be. But there is more good news, the film will now be made in Hindi too and Raj himself confirmed this news.
He said, “A big production house is in talks with me for remaking Parineeta in Hindi. It is supposed to have a big star too. We are currently sorting out the financial aspect. If all goes well, this will be my first film to be remade in another language.”
However, there are offers to remake Soumitra Chatterjee and Prosenjit Chatterjee’s Mayurakshi too.
The movie was released in the first week of September and fans are loving the new tragic love story.
The trailer begins with the character Mehul played by Subhashree who is in love with her tuition teacher Babai Da played by Ritwick Chakraborty. Mehul’s whole world is around Babai Da but one day her dreams get shattered when Babai commits suicide. What will happen now and how Mehul will cope up with this tragedy? Towards the end, there are few glimpses of Adrit Roy and Gaurav Chakrabarty.
From the trailer, it looks like Parineeta can be a career-defining character for Subhashree. She is playing a simple looking girl next door. The other things that draw attention in the trailer are the simplicity in the overall look at the film which is very relatable and the beautiful music composed by Arko.
This will be the first movie of Subhashree after marriage. This year in May, Raj and Subhashree tied the knot after dating each other for one long year. Their wedding was an elaborate ceremony which started right from the mehandi followed by an elegant "Gaye Holud" ceremony and a grand wedding.
